Why you should be laughing
My "Words I say because I grew up with this family" post has been up for a while, and due to a few comments, I now feel like I should explain it a bit. I seriously laughed all the way through typing it, because I see the irony in the fact that my little 'brady bunch' family really either say now, or said these words growing up. We all get along great, and never used them out of spite, or even thought they were anything but normal. We (meaning my siblings and I) probably thought every family called each other the same things, and that is why its funny. In actuality, the things we called each other as pet names are terrible . And if you were to judge me....and them...solely on the other phrases, you would probably think we were uneducated hicks. And I think that is funny too. So. There you have it. If you had been in my head the day I typed it, this is why you would be laughing with me.

I was totally laughing WITH YOU. Mostly because I didn't know that EVERYONE else in the world didn't already say these things either... Becuase WE SURE DID in my family.
Until I asked Jaren and he'd never heard most of the words... I personally LOVED that post... just forgot to comment!

Betsy-I've been out of blog world and I missed that post! I totally would have commented. Jeff has been teasing me for years that theres no such thing as a jockey box, and that the true and accurate word is caddywompus. BTW people would be even more impressed if they found out what dirty bugger really means. :)
Loving all the fun things you guys say. It's interesting what things we call each other in our fams. You have such a beautiful family. Sure miss you and sorry it's taken so long to get back into checking blogs. Loving all your amazing pictures. They are growing up too fast.
