When Brad and I looked at the predicted weather for his week off, we were less than impressed. The forecast looked a lot like this.....rainy, cloudy, rainy, rainy, cloudy, rainy. So, we had to come up with some plans that could accommodate a crummy weather week. We decided that Monday would be our day to go down to Camden/Rockport to visit one of our favorite spots by the ocean. And that is what we did. We were pleasantly surprised that the weatherman was wrong and it actually didn't rain ALL day. We had a good time playing in the sand. Brad, Liv and I hunted around for "quick sand", and tried to see how far we could sink our feet into it, while Gwen soaked herself in the water and got sandy from her head to her toes. We were cut short by a bit when it went from clear to instantly pouring rain. We picked up the girls and ran quickly to our car, stripped the girls out of their sandy/wet clothes, and headed back into town. Every time we go to Camden I am reminded how much I love it there. As soon as we get there, and down by the water, I feel my whole body start to relax. I wish I could include a scratch and sniff oceanside smell here. Just so you could experience that little bit of it with me.

Brad taught Liv that the ocean was salt water and if she put her hands into it, they would taste like salt.

I LOVE your ocean pictures! They're gorgeous. It doesn't hurt that you all could be models! :) I'm glad you are having fun family trips - vacations are the best!
Looks like tons of fun! I wish I could be there too. Chad's week off had less that optimal weather too. But there's always something fun to do.
Beaches are our family favorite too. There is just something about water, sand that relaxes you. Looks like a ton of fun you had.
