Do you know what a standpipe is?? In Maine, that is what they call a water tower.
Every year, they open up the standpipe to the public. We walk up to the top, enjoy
the gorgeous view, and then walk back down. This year, we had to go without BR.
I loaded the kids up in the car just in time to make the last of it. And just as we pulled
up, I looked in back to see that Gwen was asleep, as I debated whether or not to wake her up,
and face the possibility of carrying both her and Beckham to the top, I saw Bridgette and Gary,
Who graciously offered to watch her in the car while I went to the top with the other two kiddos.
I think the view was the best we've seen since we've lived here. Peaceful and Gorgeous. Thanks
to our kind Aunt and Uncle for watching sleeping Gwen while we enjoyed the view! Luckily, I took
these two pictures just before my camera ran out of batteries.
