Road trip 2010: Part Three
We spent our first day in Nashville at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The girls threw pennies in the fountain, watched some of the first footage of live music, danced and colored pictures of cowboy attire. We saw Elvis' car which was plated in gold every way possible. It's final layer of paint included crushed diamond, 24 karat gold, and fish scales. It also had a television and a 6 disc record player in the back. We also saw his gold plated grand piano there. While there, we also went on a tour of Studio B, where Elvis and many others recorded their songs. Brad sat at the piano where Elvis played, and I posed for a picture with Beckham next to the spot on the wall where Dolly Parton ran her car into the building. In the afternoon, we ate BBQ at Jack's, found the girls pink cowgirl boots, and saw some of the touristy sights in downtown Nashville.
