GRRR

We have a neighbor who comes over to play with Liv quite a bit. She is 9. Yesterday Liv, Gwen and I were outside in our front yard. M kept riding back and forth on a little motorized scooter. Every time she passed by (at least 10 times) Liv would yell her name and say, "come here I want to play with you." Once or twice Liv even ran up right next to her. M completely ignored her. Every time! OOO, it just makes my blood boil. I could feel my over protective, mamma bear claws coming out. So, what I would like to do, is next time she comes over say, "You know that was really rude of you to ignore Liv the other day. I don't think she wants to play with you." and then close the door in her face.

Just my two cents: You are probably better off keeping the two of them away from each other as much as possible. 9 year olds are quite different from 4 and 5 year olds and some of the things they learn from them are less than pleasant. And this little girl especially seems like someone you don't want Liv to learn from. At least that has been my experience. Good luck and continue being a mama bear!

Ooo..I could feel my blood starting to boil reading that! I see moms that handle situations like that so calmly and I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY DO IT!
