I have been trying to brainstorm about things we can do to make our back yard fun for the girls and their friends. This is the first attempt. A cute little tent made from some sticks, twine and a table cloth. It turned out so cute, and Liv loves it! She played out there all day pretending to be an indian. She loved eating her snack, reading stories, and taking her nap in it.
I would love to hear of things your kids love to do in your back yards. Something fun, that will be relatively easy to move in about a year(if we sell our house). I've heard good things about water tables. What do your kids love?

My kids love sand. They could dig all day. Your tent is darling. I think I'll do that for my boys. They're always looking for a fort. We just poured a 50 sq. yard slab of concrete in our backyard all in the name of outdoor entertainment for the kids. I really hope it wasn't overkill.
So cute! We just got a slip n' slide. Andrew uses it as it was intended for about 5 minutes, and then both of the kids just have fun sitting in the spraying water. I have a feeling that it is going to turn into a car wash soon! And the water table is fantastic. They play with that alllll the time!
Cute tent! And Liv still takes a nap? We just got Lucas a sand and water table for his birthday and all 4 kids LOVE it. (it's only been 2 days, but it has entertained them for hours.) and when they're taking a break from that, they love the Step 2 slide the triplets got for their birthday. Zach loves racing his cars down the fence slats (look here http://theterrifictews.blogspot.com/2008/04/racecar-party.html) They're totally make shift, but if Liv still likes cars, this a been a surprise source of entertainment.
So dang cute and you are so creative. We only live for the swimming pool in the summer, you don't want to attempt going outside otherwise.
We have a sand and water table and I LOVE it (and so do my girls) I actually use it for playdough and moon sand, mostly b/c I dont want them to be soaked every time they play with it or full of sand. It is my favorite thing. They also love it when I fill up a spray bottle with water and they go around and spray everything, harmless and fun. Does she have a scooter?
OK, and I so love the tent, I had one similar growing up...I should make one for my girls. Cute picture.
